Epic Games account
Fortnite tournaments scored from replay files need to know which Epic Games account you play on. Linking connects your Epic account to your 360clash profile.
Why some tournaments require it
Fortnite replay files identify players by Epic account ID and nothing else. If the tournament is scored from replays, the organizer can only match results to you if your Epic account is linked. Organizers can turn on Require a linked Epic Games account to join for a tournament. The setting is only offered for Fortnite tournaments, so no other game asks you to link Epic.
When a tournament requires it:
- If your account is not linked, the join dialog says so and shows a Link Epic Games button. Link your account and you are brought back to the tournament to join.
- For a team entry, everyone on the roster needs a linked account, and a roster line that is only a name is refused. If someone is missing, the message names the players who need to link.
- Roster changes are checked too, so a substitute without a linked account cannot be swapped in later.
See Find and join a tournament and Battle Royale.
Link your account
- Choose Settings in the user menu and go to the Connections tab.
- Next to Epic Games, choose Connect. You can also use Link Epic Games from a tournament's join dialog.
- Sign in to Epic and approve the connection.
- You return to 360clash, and the Epic Games row shows your Epic display name.
If Epic stops the connection because your Epic account has a step waiting, 360clash shows a Finish setting up your Epic account window. Open your Epic account, accept what Epic asks for (usually an updated privacy policy or terms), then choose Try again. If nothing shows up, signing in to the Epic Games Launcher once shows the same prompt.
What others can see
- Everyone sees your Epic display name on your player profile.
- The staff of a tournament that requires linking see, in their participants list, who on each roster has linked an account and their Epic display names. They need this to find you in the game.
- Your Epic account ID is not shown to other players. It is what matches replay results to you.
360clash refreshes linked display names once a day, so a name change on Epic shows up here on its own.
Unlink it
- Choose Settings in the user menu and go to the Connections tab.
- Choose Disconnect next to Epic Games, then Disconnect again to confirm.
You can connect it again at any time. Epic is never a way to sign in, so unlinking it cannot lock you out of your account. Unlinking is not blocked while you are in a tournament that requires a linked account, but replay scoring can no longer match your results to you, and you cannot be swapped into a roster there until you link again. Tell the organizer before you unlink.
