Following teams

Updated Oct 15, 2026

Following a team is the quickest way to keep up with a team you do not play for. It works for any player or fan with an account.

Follow a team

  1. Open the team's page. You can find teams with search, or from a tournament's Participants tab.
  2. Select Follow. If you are signed out, you are sent to log in and brought back.
  3. The button changes to Following. Select it again to unfollow.

The team's page shows how many followers it has. You cannot follow a team you are a member of, and nobody can start following a team that has been disbanded. If a team you follow disbands, you can still unfollow it.

What you get

Following a team gives you notifications, each sent once per team and event. If you join the team later, they stop:

NotificationWhen
Team enteredThe team's entry in a tournament is approved and the tournament is public, or the organizer publishes a tournament that already had the team in it.
Match liveOne of the team's two-sided matches has both sides known and is being played.
Tournament resultThe tournament is completed and the team has a final place.

These appear in your notification bell. Match live alerts also pop up on screen and can raise a browser notification if you turned those on. See Chat and notifications.

Free-for-all formats (Race, Points and Battle Royale) have no single moment a match goes live, so for those you only hear about the team's entry and result.

If you play in a match against a team you follow, you hear about it through the usual Match ready notification, not a second one.

Your home page

When a team you follow is playing in a tournament that is under way, your home page shows a Following section: "What the teams you follow are playing." Live matches come first, then each team's next match. Select a match to open it. The section is hidden when you follow nobody or none of the teams you follow has a match coming up.

Turn alerts off

Next to Following is a bell button. Select it to turn alerts off for that team. Its tooltip reads "Alerts on: entries, live matches, results" or "Alerts off". The team stays in your follows and its matches still show on your home page. Select the bell again to turn alerts back on.

Following organizers

You can also follow an organizer from its page. You get a New tournament notification when it publishes one.
