Chat and notifications

Updated Oct 15, 2026

360clash tells you what is happening in three ways: chat, the notification bell, and optional browser and email alerts. This article covers each one.

Open your chats

Select the chat bubble in the bottom-right corner. Its badge shows your total unread messages. The Chats panel lists:

  • Tournaments. Each tournament you are in, with its rooms and unread count.
  • Messages. Your direct messages and groups.
  • Hidden. Conversations you hid, if you have any.

Tournament rooms

Open a tournament to see its rooms:

  • General. Everyone in the tournament: solo players, the owner and leaders of each team, and the staff.
  • Stage rooms. Tournaments with several stages can have one room per stage, for the players in that stage and the staff.
  • Match rooms. One per two-sided match, for the two sides. Staff can read and moderate them. They are grouped as Needs attention, Live, Upcoming and Completed.
  • Admin room. Staff only. You will not see it.

Only a team's owner and leaders are seated in a tournament's rooms. Other players on the team are not.

Organizers can switch chat off for a whole tournament or for one stage, and then those rooms do not exist. Staff can also lock a room or time a member out. When that happens, the message box tells you why you cannot post. Staff can remove messages and pin important ones.

Use Call admin in a match room to get staff. See Disputes.

Direct messages and groups

  • Select the New chat icon, then Direct message or New group.
  • You can only message friends. A new group starts with you and at least two friends.
  • A group has a member limit. The panel tells you when a group is full. In Group info, anyone in the group can add people and select Leave group. The person who created the group can also rename it, remove members and delete it.

You can edit or delete your own messages, and reply to others. An edited message shows "(edited)".

Hide a conversation

Open a direct message or group, select the More menu, then Hide conversation. It disappears from your list but is not deleted. Find it under Hidden and select Show again. A new message in a hidden conversation brings it back on its own. Hiding only affects you.

Unread counts

An unread message is one newer than the last you read that you did not send. Opening a room reads it, and the count updates on your other tabs and devices too. Select Mark all read (the double-check icon) to clear a list. Inside a tournament it clears that tournament's rooms.

Notifications

The bell in the top bar collects everything that needs your attention: registration decisions, check-in, match ready, veto turns, results, disputes, wallet changes and team activity. Select Notifications in your profile menu for the full list. Filter it by All, Social, Tournament, Match, Wallet or Admin, and select Mark all read to clear the badge. Selecting a notification takes you to the right page.

Important ones also pop up as a message on screen while you are using the site.

Browser notifications

Browser notifications show a system pop-up for a new message in a room you are not reading, and for important notifications while 360clash is not the window in front of you.

  1. Open Settings from your profile menu, then the Notifications tab.
  2. In Message alerts, select Enable desktop notifications and allow them in your browser.
  3. Choose whether to Show desktop notifications, Play a sound for new messages and Show message preview.

You can also change these from the Message alerts bell in the Chats panel header.

Besides new messages, they cover the things you would not want to miss, such as check-in opening, a match being ready, a lobby code, your veto turn, a dispute and a team invite. They work only while 360clash is open in a browser tab. The sound setting is saved to your account, so it applies on every device. Desktop notifications and preview are saved per browser. If your browser cannot show them, the card says so.

If notifications are blocked in your browser, allow them for this site in your browser's site settings.

Email

In Settings, Notifications, the Email preferences card has one switch: Emails from tournament organizers. It controls messages an organizer sends to the players of a tournament you joined. You still see those in the bell either way.

Other emails are not optional. They include registration decisions, check-in reminders, missing check-in, being removed from a tournament, the tournament starting, paid-stage payment deadlines, team invites and account security. See Check-in.
