Prizes and payouts

Updated Oct 15, 2026

A paid tournament collects entry fees into a prize pool. When the tournament is finalized, the pool is paid out to the placements, with the platform and organizer fees. This page explains how and when.

How the pool is split

The prize pool is what is left of the entry fees after the platform fee and the organizer fee. The organizer sets how the pool is divided between places before publishing, and it cannot be changed after that. The tournament's Prizes card shows what each place wins and how many paid entries make up the pool. See Fees.

Amounts are calculated in whole cents. Any leftover cents from rounding go to the prize pool, starting with first place, never to a fee.

When and where prizes are paid

  1. The organizer finalizes the tournament, or it completes when the last stage ends.
  2. Payouts are scheduled. No money moves yet. You get a Prize On The Way notification that says when the prize lands.
  3. When the hold ends, the payouts are released automatically to the winners' wallets. You get a Prize Paid notification. Until then, the prize's row under On the way on your wallet page shows when it arrives.

The wait gives the organizer and players time to dispute a result. If the result is corrected, the scheduled payouts are replaced with a new schedule.

Prizes go to the entrant's wallet:

  • Team entries: the team wallet.
  • Solo entries: the player's wallet.

Money not yet released shows under On the way on your wallet page. If the organizer held the payouts, you see their reason there too. See Payout hold. A prize cannot be reversed once it has been paid.

Places nobody filled

A place with no finisher, for example a five-place split with three entrants, does not go to the other winners. The prize for an empty place is paid to the platform. A prize whose winner disbanded before release is also paid to the platform. The pool breakdown shown before you enter lists the places.

Sending money to a team

A team wallet pays for the team's entries, so team members often fund it. Any member can add money from their own wallet.

  1. Open Your wallet. The Send to a team card lists your teams. You can also open the team's Wallet tab and select Add from my wallet.
  2. Enter the amount and, optionally, a note of up to 80 characters. Team members see the note next to the transaction.
  3. Read the warning. This becomes the team's money. The team's owner can spend it, and it is not returned to you if the team withdraws from something it paid for.
  4. Select Add with the amount.

The transfer goes one way only. You cannot take the money back out, and refunds for team entries go to the team wallet. You need enough balance in your own wallet first. See Top up.
