Organizer code of conduct

Updated Oct 15, 2026

Players trust an organizer with their time, and often their money. This page collects the practices we recommend to keep that trust. They are guidance for organization owners and for everyone on a tournament's staff list, not platform rules.

The binding rules are the Terms and Conditions, which apply to organizers and staff as much as to players. Where a point below comes from the Terms, it is marked Terms rule and quoted. Everything else is good practice.

Publish accurate rules and details

We recommend that you:

  • Say what the tournament really is: game, platform, format, match format, schedule, who may enter.
  • Write your rules before you publish and keep them consistent with how the platform works. The Ruleset template is a starting point.
  • Keep to what you promised. Entry fees, the organizer fee and the prize split are frozen at publish, so do not promise something different in chat or on another site.
  • Announce any change to the schedule or rules before it applies, in the tournament chat or by message.
  • Only mention an affiliation, sponsorship or prize pool that really exists.

Run matches fairly

Terms rule: the Terms and Conditions say a member can be suspended for "cheating/using third-party software that gives an advantage, entering wrong results, or violating our T&C or Privacy Policy". Entering a result you know is wrong falls under this, for staff as much as for players.

Good practice:

  • Apply the same rules to everyone, including your friends, your team and yourself.
  • Leave results for a side you play for or are linked to to another staff member.
  • Decide disputes on the evidence: both reports, the proof attached to the match, and the match chat. Use the reason field when you set a result, so the history shows why.
  • Use forfeits and disqualifications for rule breaks and no-shows, not for personal disputes. A disqualification cannot be undone, so give a clear reason.
  • Change a result after the fact only to correct a genuine mistake, never to change who gets a prize.

See Running matches.

Respond to admin calls

We recommend that you:

  • Watch the Matches tab while matches are being played. "Admin called" appears under Needs attention.
  • Respond promptly, and mark the call handled once you have dealt with it.
  • Make sure someone on your staff list is available during your scheduled match times. Tell players in the rules who to contact if the platform is not enough.

Pay out what you advertise

How paid tournaments pay out is set by the platform: if you charge an entry fee through 360clash, the prize pool and split you published are what the platform pays. 360clash does not move money for a free tournament, so any prize advertised there is yours to pay.

Good practice:

  • Advertise the prize pool the tournament page shows, not a different amount.
  • On a free tournament with a prize, say in the rules that you pay it, and pay on the date you give.
  • Hold payouts only with a reason winners can understand. A hold is for checking a result, you can use it once, and winners see your reason.
  • Finish the tournament and stages promptly once the results are in. See Finalize and payouts.

Terms rule: winners are responsible for taxes on their prizes. The Terms and Conditions say: "If you gain personal wealth or a prize on 360Clash you are required to report it to local law and pay all required taxes". It helps to remind winners of this in your rules.

Who is responsible for what between you, the platform, and players is in Who handles what.

Be honest about money

Some of this the platform enforces on its own: staff cannot add participants to a tournament that charges an entry fee, so entrants always register and pay themselves, and cancelling a tournament refunds every entry.

We recommend that you:

  • State the entry fee clearly. The fee shown on the tournament page should be the only cost of taking part.
  • Do not ask entrants to pay anything extra outside 360clash.
  • If you cannot run a tournament, cancel it rather than hold entrants to it.
  • Never ask players for money, gift cards or account details through chat or messages.

See Entry fees and Fees.

Respect privacy and safety

Terms rules:

  • Profile content is public. The Terms and Conditions note that profile info, teams, messages and other content added to the service "can be accessed publically".
  • Age limits. Per the Terms and Conditions, "Some games or content or tournaments may be restricted to users that are not 18 years old".
  • Harassment. The Terms and Conditions forbid "harras/intimidating/abusing" other users, and say that abusing the service or other users "can lead to permanent suspension".

Good practice:

  • Share lobby codes only with the players in that match. In Battle Royale, release a game's code only when the lobby should open.
  • Use proof screenshots and match reports only for settling the match. Ask the players before posting them elsewhere.
  • Do not publish players' private details such as email addresses, real names or Epic account details beyond what they show on their public profiles.
  • Do not run age-restricted content for players you have reason to believe are under age.
  • Keep conversations respectful, and use the message tools for tournament business only.

If something goes wrong

We recommend telling entrants early if you cannot run the tournament as promised, and cancelling a stage or the tournament rather than letting it stall. See Cancel or restore a stage. If you are unsure what to do, ask in Discord. For account and payment issues, write to [email protected].

Terms rule: the Terms and Conditions allow 360clash to "immediately suspend and/or close the account of any member who violates" them.
